Château Romassan Rosé
“An enveloping, fresh and very harmonious rosé wine”. Estelle Mazoire, cellar master at Château Romassan
This sun-kissed terroir looks out over the sea and is composed of marl and limestone soils that are particularly suited to the Mourvedre grape.
Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Grenache
Mourvèdre, the majority grape variety in this blend, comes into its own here like no place else, providing solidity, structure and excellent cellar-ageing potential. It is complemented by the deep vinosity of Grenache and the softness of Cinsault. These three grape varieties, grown on the hillsides and in the valley, produce a complex, beautifully textured rosé.
The wine has a pale peach color with a soft rose gold shimmer. The nose is seductive with a rich array of aromas. The palate is buoyed by aromas of red fruits-strawberries and raspberries. The wine is delicious, right up to the finely balance finish.
